Brick
I chose this picture for many reasons. One reason was the compositional elements and principles present in the photo. Line, shape, and depth are all very visible in the image. The second reason was the technical aspects of the photo. The photo has a large depth of field along with contrast and how the pillars and fence are in focus while the background is not. The third reason was what was artistically strong about the photo. This makes you think about how something so big and expensive can be brought down to positive and negative bricks.

Scooting Along
I liked this picture because it was fun to make and easy to take. One of our classmates would ride back and fourth on the street while we took pictures using slow shutter speed and panning to get the subject in focus and the background not. The technical aspects of this photo is a large depth of field, 1/30 shutter speed, and having good lighting because we were outside on a sunny day. The compositional aspects of this photo are pattern, distance, and rule of thirds. I chose this photo because I liked how the field is out of focus and the scooter and its rider are in focus due to the panning.

Keys
I liked this photo because I love technology. One of my most favorite parts of this photo is how the keys in the center look. The compositional aspects are line, shape, pattern. The line and shape are in the keys and the rows of keys, and the pattern is in the rows of keys as well. The technical aspects of this photo are aperture, focus, and it is in black and white. I chose this photo because of how the keys in the center look crisp and bright while the outer keys are out of focus.
