Do all the elements of the frame support the subject, or are there distractions that take away from the strength of the image?
All of the elements support the subjects and there is nothing that may take away from the subject.
Which of the 9 compositional rules utilized in the photo? (rule of thirds, get close, framing, triangles, diagonals, leading lines, contrast, figure/ground, center the dominant eye, pattern and repetition, focal point, symmetry, bird’s eye view, worm’s eye view)
Rule of thirds, Get close, Framing, and Leading lines.
Technical Aspects:
Shutter Speed or Depth of Field- how is either manipulated in the image?
Shutter speed- Capture the goats in motion
Are exposure, focus or blur manipulated?
The first goat picture has the black goats head as the center and everything else blurred.
Does use of color or lighting impact the photo?
The heat lamp in the goat pictures keeps the viewers eye on the goats because of the location of the lamps.
Post-processing/Editing-
What edits in photoshop enhance or change the photo's meaning?
I edited each photos color in photoshop to make the photos more vibrant and saturated.
Narrative/Storytelling/Communication –
What is conveyed about the person in the image? How is the “story” of the person conveyed? What props, clothing, setting or facial expression or body language communicate the IDENTITY (personality, interests, gender, background, culture, or history) of the person in the portrait?
These photos show who I am; I like to photograph animals, nature, and technology, so these photos show all of my favorite things to photograph.
Emotional Impact –
What emotions captured in your portrait will cause the audience to respond? How is the emotional content conveyed?
The goats will warm the audiences hearts because who doesn't like baby goats. These pictures show my love for animals and relates to my dogs because the goats are the similar colors.
